So much awaited PR update is over, and with it starts another two to three month wait for the next one. It is like a test for most of the bloggers, and no matter how fine the blogger has done in phase between the two updates, he is never sure of the results and that’s what makes it cunningly exciting. Some bloggers are happy with the update, some are satisfied and some of them can be found giving Google tips on how to go about a PR update. These are the bloggers whose sites have been degraded in the PR update.
For us, it was nothing less than a opportunity to party. As you all know, we own three different sites, a general blog apart from this one and a web directory. These sites were having PR 3, 2 and 1 since the last update. We had it in mind to experiment with the whole PR thing, so we decided to implement two different strategies, one for each site. We went for quality, in content, link for wlug, and we stayed away from tons of worthless links from sites of different niche.
On the other hand we tried out quantity for rocking future, developing lots of links even from sites which had nothing on them. This yielded us over 1000 back links and some confidence going into this PR update.
Well the results were out today and we are pretty happy about how things have gone. We have achieved PR 4 for wlug and PR3 for rocking future while we have got our web directory to a decent PR3. Soon we would be taking some dollars for link submission in the directory.
Well it’s time to analyze our strategies and to form new ones for the next update. It’s easier to go from PR 1 to PR3, at least easier than upgrading from PR 3 to PR 4. But time and money spent in obtaining quality links is quite large while you hardly have to spend any time in the quantity link. You can get thousands of them for hardly 30 odd dollars. Now let’s cut it short. After long analysis we have come to the solution that while on one hand we would continue to look for quality, in content, links we would also try links in quantity for both of our sites and hope we would go a step higher in the next update.

Congrats For your PR upgrade.
Mine However was a poor result. Few of my sites remained at the same pr as the previous one. Howver most dissapointed result was for one of my best site. It is degraded from PR 3 to PR 0 !!!!
But hell it recieves all its traffic from google Serps so no complaints till it continues to get the same.

My website got a PR 3 in this update. It was a PR 4 before the last update and was degrade to PR . this time around when there were no paid links on my site it again got its PR upgraded Though i had hardly any time to work upon it.
