Google Wave was launched last year, Initially there was chaos to get a wave invitation but eventually wave went into cold because lots and lots of hype also makes a product dull. I got my invitation of wave in November and used it for a week or so. The main drawback for wave was to open up a new browser window to create a wave and then get your friends online.
One more thing, if your friend is not online , he/she will never be notified of a wave until he signs into his wave account. But on 3rd March Google Wave team have finally turned on Email Notifications of Google Wave.
How to Turn On the Email Notification
- Click Inbox then Click on Notifications
- As you click on Notifications then you will see a new window of ” Notifications for Inbox”
- Schedule the notifications either daily, hourly, or immediately.
- Check your Inbox for emails.
This Google Wave Email notification feature is cool because it will attract those dormant wave users who started using wave then suddenly forgot about it. What’s more interesting is that you get one email per wave not a series of emails when users update the waves or adds the wave.
