iPhone OS 4.0 to support Multitasking

Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch both are a very good device, iPhone lets you talk with others while iPod Touch does not but one thing in common to both of them is that they both do not support Multi-tasking.  Apple maintains that if these device would support multi-tasking there are security concerns as well as battery concerns.

But coming summer Apple is going to silence its customers and its critics by rolling out its OS 4.0 which is supposed to support multi tasking meaning that while talking to a person an application can run in background , same is case with iPod Touch.  A report by AppleInsider.com reports that Apple is rolling out new updates with multi-tasking support , citing people with a proven track record in predicting Apple’s technological advancements.

AppleInsider states, “Apple this summer will go a long way towards silencing critics and catering to one of the most prevalent demands of its iPhone user base, when it introduces a multitasking solution through the handset’s 4.0 software update that will finally allow several third party apps to run concurrently and in the background.”
