If you are a BSNL Broadband Subscriber then there is a very good news for you. Starting April 1st , the users of BSNL have been getting upgraded speeds provided they are on Unlimited Plans. Since BSNL is an Class A ISP i.e providing Broadband Services to whole country it means that they have to provide additional bandwidth to customers as well.
Some BSNL Broadband subscribers were confused after getting these speeds from BSNL without any information. Many thought when they will use the upgraded bandwidth they will have to pay more , so they tried not to use the Broadband.
After Confirmation of this news from two sources i.e. one BSNL official source and other news source people have started using this upgraded bandwidth offer.

I myself was using BSNL Broadband till last year, but due to their unavailability of plans for home users I had to shift to Airtel which is providing speed upgrades to 4Mbps from Rs 899 only.
So if you were onHome 750UL Plus plan ,you would be getting speeds of 256Kbps regularly but since April 1st you would be getting 512Kbps. But do not get over enthusiastic as these speeds have been gifted to users of BSNL broadband because of the cricket fever going on in the country as well as may be testing of their new services i.e. 3G as well.
Please Note : These upgraded speeds are valid till 30/04/2010 i.e. 30th April after which you would be degraded to your previous bandwidth offer.
