We all know that developing software requires skills and constant efforts. This is even true in case of WordPress as well. WordPress as a platform has developed a lot and seen lots and lots of users around the world. Now time has come to get an upgrade in form of core files.
Recently WordPress RC1 was released to public to test the themes and plugins and now after RC 1 and RC2 the Release Candidate version 3 has been released to general public. WordPress 3 is expected to have thousands of additions from WordPress 2. Even the default theme for WordPress 3 has been developed from scratch. The name for the theme is Twenty Ten. Now that WordPress 3.0 has been released all over , it is expected to get same number of downloads as its previous versions did get.

I myself have upgraded some of the blogs that were running on WordPress 2.9.2 to WordPress 3.0. All are currently working fine without any issues as such. There are some of the issues which need to be taken care of like multiple domain in WordPress 3.0 which I was not able to get working due to some glitches at my hosting provider but after emailing the support team they have removed the glitch and I am working on the same.
