Buying a laptop is way harder than I thought it would be. I got one for myself today and it took me about half a month to decide which one to buy. I started off with inquiring market place for the best laptops and with ever shop I left I felt more confused. I had 6 brands and each brand was offering 5 different products in the budget i had, that made it 30 laptops to choose from. Now let me tell you how I finalized what I finalized. I had Sony, hp, dell, Acer, Toshiba and Lenovo to choose from. Without any knowledge in laptops I would have formed this order.
Sony, HP, Lenovo, Acer, dell, and Toshiba to buy my laptop. But I had some facts in mind. Lenovo hp and Sony sell their brand name for a price 50 % more than the actual laptop price. Say Sony manufactured a laptop for 900 $ then its dealer price should be somewhere around 100$ but Sony sells it for no less than $ 1500 same is the case with Lenovo and HP.
So it was simple to stroke these companies off my list. Ok now I have dell Acer and Toshiba to choose from. Well Toshiba was way out of my budget so two left in the list Acer and dell. Ok does dell have any stores? No it doesn’t have a store and for after sales service you have to call their customer care office which would start charging you after a year. These people know how to make money even after selling the products. But one thing that I loved about dell that they gave me a chance to customize my product. But what about service. So I went ahead with Acer aspire 5920. I found it cheap and best. I paid 900 $ for it in my country and I am very happy with its performance
