BSNL is India’s single largest broadband service provider with its services covering nearly all the major cities of India. In addition to wide coverage it provides the cheapest internet connections available in India.
Currently BSNL offers two types of plans – Home Plans and Business Plans as per the requirements of the customer. These plans are further differentiated into limited download plans and unlimited download plans. Here is the BSNL Internet Connection Plans hierarchy.
To avail broadband internet service from BSNL, you need an active BSNL telephone connection. You can then apply for the broadband connection on this phone. The form is pretty easy to fill and it generally takes a about week’s time to get things activated. Here are all the details of the currently active BSNL home packages.
Installation Charges: Waived off for new connections till 31st July 2010, otherwise Rs 250
Security Deposit: One month Plan Charges
Modem Charges:
- Type 1 Modem: Rs 1000
- Type 2 Modem (Wi-Fi Modem): Rs 1600
