Blogs often attract a lot of visitors and webmasters are always looking to monetize this traffic in one way or the other. One of the more popular ways of monetizing traffic is marketing affiliate products.
Affiliate products often don’t convert a lot, but when they do the returns are on higher side. With a few clicks an average site owner can make nearly $ 100 per day. The art of making money lies in getting these few clicks by making links look natural rather than affiliate links.
But how do you do it without any knowledge of programming languages? Here is answer to all your questions.
How to Hide Affiliate Links in Wordpress Blogs
While you can use URL shortening Services like tinyurl.com, bit.ly or tr.im, it’s always better to present users with something natural. For e.g. there are more chances of a user clicking the link yoursite.com/product rather than tinyurl.com/58hygygu8.
There are a lot of plugins that you can use for this purpose but I prefer two of them. Both of these are pretty easy to set up and work with. First one is Redirection plugin and the other one is Hide Affiliate Link Plugin
Redirection Plugin
Redirection is a WordPress plugin to manage 301 redirections, keep track of 404 errors, and generally tidy up any loose ends your site may have.
This is particularly useful if you are migrating pages from an old website, or are changing the directory of your WordPress installation but it works equally well with affiliate links.

Simply type in existing or non existing URL in the Source URL box and the affiliate link in the target URL box and save.

Hidden Affiliate Links Plugin
There are lots of features in this plugin. It has a very nice interface and gives you complete control over how you handle your affiliate links. It also lets you define keywords and it will replace those keywords with a new link that you can specify.
