If you are looking to update the drivers on your laptop for your new Operating System, or looking to order a new battery for your laptop but you don’t exactly know the model number and/or brand name of your Laptop, here is a quick tip.
There are three possible ways to locate your laptop’s brand name and Model number without installing third party software.
- User Manual : Find the user manual of your laptop . It contains both Brand Name and the Model Number of your laptop along with other details.
- Back of Laptop: In case you have lost the user manual, you can look at the back side of your laptop . You will find a manufacturer’s label which contain info about Brand Name , Model Name , SNID and Serial number of your laptop.
- In case your Laptop is too old to have these labels you can use this step. This works in all Windows Operating Systems.1 Click ‘Start’
2 Mouse over/ Click ‘All Programs’ > ‘Accessories’ > ‘System Tools’
3 . Click on ‘System Information’.
You will find all the details about your laptop on the page that appears.
