I perfectly remember the week previous to the start of DLF IPL all the news channels were telecasting their perception of who the winner of this year’s IPL is going to be and how would the points table look like at the end of IPL. There were many opinions about who the winner is going to be but all the experts were claiming that the last position would be occupied by Rajasthan Royals.
It took no more than 7 weeks for the tables to turn on its head. All the predictions that were made before the start never came into being and probably they were never supposed to be. The Rajasthani boys played as team and won nearly all of their matches, some with pure charm and some with a bit of luck. The finals were one of those battles where luck was on top of charm and was last ball finish match. Once the finals entered the last over it was evident that luck was once again favoring Royals. Over the period of one IPL it seemed that they had become experts at the last ball finish games. And it happened again, a last ball finish and a last ball victory for Rajasthan Royals and they are the current IPL champs. They had some talent which was proved by the fact that their player bagged two out of three man of series awards.
Well its now another year in waiting for the next IPL , we would see probably a couple of changes in some teams but this IPL has ensured the fact that the we can expect the highest standard of cricket to be played in the IPL .
