Reliance Netconnect Broadband + promises to be the fastest wireless internet connection in India with a speed up to 3.1 Mbps, which is almost 20 times faster than common internet connection in India. It also supports upload speed up to 1.8 Mbps.
Reliance Netconnect Broadband + USB Modems are priced at Rs 3500 with two months of free unlimited internet connection. It is available with more than 7 usage options starting from Rs 299 and going up to Rs 1750.
Benefits of Reliance Netconnect Broadband +
- Wireless Broadband for Laptops & Desktops
- 20 times faster with speed up to 3.1 Mpbs
- Simply Plug & Play
- Fastest uploads at a speed up to 1.8Mbps
- Seamless network across 20,000 towns and 4.5 lakhs villages
Drawbacks of Reliance Netconnect Broadband +
The usage charges are pretty high. Even the unlimited plans have a data transfer limit of 10 GB which negates the benefit of super high speed internet connection.
Though Reliance Netconnect Broadband + has been recently launched, their previous offering Reliance Netconnect was not that successful. Most of the times it delivered 10 % of the promised speed and the problems were only compounded by their poor customer care service.

We would be stupid if we go for a broadband plus, as the speed is not more than 50 KB in average. I am using it now the speed has dropped to 10 to 12 KB what a hell, where should i go I have already invested Rs 3500/-. I have complained to their customer care they said that they will solve the problem within 24to 48hrs, and within 8 hrs they call me to assist me asking to change the setting as if I will stay through out the whole say sitting with their stupid stuff I gave them a prior time when I will be with the device, they said me that that they will mail me the setting which can increase the speed, still I am waiting for their mail what sort of Customer care service. As far my openeion we must not go for reliance net connect plus their unlimited plan also sucks, it is nothing but a cheap trick of these peoples to make money fooling us

i am also one of the victim of the reliance netconnect i bought the connection at december and i closed the connection on janauary but he never stopped me sending me bill i went to the reliance world again and again but there was just a consolidated response they say “dont worry” its not a problem we will do it right.
finally i got a notice from court to be present before lokadalath i was shocked then i again went to the reliance world the answer was the same finally i have to pay 3000/ rs without any mistake of mine. there are 1000s of people who daily come to the lok adalath daily all are reliance company victims.
The reliance is the biggest frauds i have paid 3000/ rs without any reason the actual fault was the companies but i was the victim.
how do you think that they have the crores this is the reason. Never go to any reliance postpaid or prepaid products. this is a kind request to all indians never buy these frauds products.

Yes, reliance’s wireless internet is totally a fake… You will never get the speed which they say, even if you are the only user in entire country. You even cant check your mail smoothly… It’s a great mental torture to work with rel so called broadband. It keeps it average to be reconnected atleast 10 times within an hour u surf. Dont waste money in this crap connection.

I have bought reliace connection when they had scheme of “2 months free” internet…
1) I bought connection, their executive came and asked me 500 activation fee and said sir your connection will be totally free for 2 months… i said ok and gave him money. He gave me acknowledgement written that its a 2 months free internet connection.
2) next month a bill came to me of Rs.150/- mentioned some additional charges, i thought lets finalize it and gave it by cheque.
3) next month again a bill of rs.600/- came to me. Now i couldn’t resist myself calling the chor party reliance people, and got answer that my plan isn’t free one and i have to pay the bill. I told them that I have got acknowledgement of connection and your executive gave me in written that this connection is free for 2 months. They won’t listen and asked me to goto their office.
4) It became a nightmare for me to search their office and went there taking a leave from work as i didn’t want the bill keep coming and the connection speed was 2-3 kpbs which was of no use.
5) in their office (a) no one knows who is whose boss (b) everyone was telling different things (c) no one was interested to listen to customer but only interested if its about taking money from customers.
6) after spending 2 hrs in their so called office (more like a fish market) I had to come back knowing that the executive who gave me fake receipt was out of town and will be back next week.
7) After a week I called them up and talked to that executive, he said my plan was not a free one and now I have to pay the bill. I have Never seen such a big CHOR company doing FRAUDS in such a big scale.
9) Immediately next day I went to one of the outlets and asked to clear my dues and disconnection request. The cheap girl with shining lipstick and ugly look said… yes sir we can clear the dues and take the money…. I suddently thought they are CHEATS so its better to clear everything before… I said I want to disconnect the services also after clearing the dues…. She said ok let me check… she whispered with a illiterate sort of boy next to her and said… Sir we can take the money but we can’t take disconnection request… Our system is not working… I said when your (BLOODY FRAUD) system will start working… She said sir that we don’t know you can ask for disconnection reqeust at another outlet. I had to comeback from there, and asked a few people about reliance outlet in nearby area.
10) I found another outlet and asked to clear my dues and disconnection request. The guy was busy attending other ppl so I had to keep waiting for 20-25 min. The guy said its ok we can take the money but why do you want to disconnect. I said I am not using it anymore. He kept saying don’t disconnect it we can give you other offers. He said I’ll convert your plan to the prepaid one or only phone plan. But knowing and seeing their FRAUD NETWORK at high scale I thought they are again trying to CHEAT with their CHEAP schemes. I kept saying no I want to disconnect the services. After 30 min. of discussion he took my request of disconnection and took 1900/- Rs. as to clear all the dues.
AND I have hardly used their internet connection 2-3 hrs. in those 2 months and 7 days. Becoz most of the time their internet won’t connect and other times the speed drops to 1-2 kbps.
THIS IS TRUE TORTURE TO THE CUSTOMERS AND TO SUCK THEIR MONEY. THE RELIANCE’S DHIRU BHAI HAS STARTED SUCH A FRAUD COMPANY. IT SEEMS HE MIGHT BE A BIGGEST CHOR OF HIS TIME. AND NOW ANIL AMBANI AND MUKESH AMBANI ARE TRYING TO BE THE BIGGEST FRAUD AND BLOODY SUCKERS IN THIS COUNTRY.
THE RELIANCE ALSO PLAYED MAJOR ROLE IN DROPPING THE STOCK MARKETS AND DOWNFALL OF GOVERNMENT.
THE COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT IMMEDIATELY TO SAVE INDIA FROM FALLING DOWN IN THE WORLD.
Thanks

Mahesh,
truly agree with you. When reading your comments, i am remembering my experience.
Reliance does not care or worry about their customer issues or concerns or problems wit h their internet service.
The customer support is too bad. they say 24 to 48 hrs , but never happens. It is better to go with local service providers rather than Reliance.
LS cable network service is good . timely and responsive when we call them.
This is absolutely true, it makes us how commercial oriented not service oriented. No one cares to give 500 a month if service is good.
5) in their office (a) no one knows who is whose boss (b) everyone was telling different things (c) no one was interested to listen to customer but only interested if its about taking money from customers.
Just because of the bad service, i disconnected service for that also they took 2 weeks to take their istrument.
They could not resolve the basic problems , they bind mac id intentionally.
even though we disconnect, they ask for money, and call continoulsly. No one at Rel office bother about customer satisifaction.
they again say , we will send legal notice and threaten customer. such a stupid teams. If we ask top management teams email id’s for conveying the customer issues, they wont give.
Such a stupid team and customer service working ….

I totally agree with above messages. The reliance datacard connection has been so poor, and their website also seems to invite some virus if we look for some additional info in it. When I used the connection under a post-paid option atleast it wasn’t getting disconnected often. Forget about the promised speed. Ever since I converted it to pre-paid it was just a nightmare. To solve this problem, one after the other, I visited many relaince costomer service centres in the city as per the suggestions from their own executives, and the result was that I further lost a lot of bucks to the auto rikshas and was an utter waste of time. I had also written directly to their head office explaining the problem a few months ago – no reply till date. Interestingly enough, though I am not using the card anymore, I still get emails from these guys titling me as a “priority customer” ! #%*# … (That is what I feel like calling them). I paid some Rs. 4990 to buy the card. It is simply lying down – so I am planning to take up an adventure again with their new plan : 3.1Mbps speed. God knows me if I ever get half of the speed !!! They are experimenting …
with our time and hard earned money. Like ’satyam’, ‘reliance’ may be another name to be unveiled someday from their fake masks. English and Indian language dictionaries shall add these “new meanings” of these words because of these guys. I really wonder how the word “business” ever was formed. Busy+ness?! like happy+ness?!

@krishna bhushan,
Affordable Internet is that internet which runs easily at your home or office. If you are looking to get Internet on move then data cards are the option available in India right now.
But with the advent of 3G by major players like Vodafone, Airtel and Reliance I am quite sure that we will get good speeds on move and some more data bandwidth as well.
Untill that time you should get a Wireline Broadband at home either from BSNL or Airtel or any other major ISP.

i read everything about Reliance Data Card . I bought 6 months back. I am very happy with the speed and no worry about cable cut etc.. My opinion is that when compare to all Data Card, this is really good. I am doing share trading. With the help of this Data Card, I am doing my business smoothly. This is my opinion.

I agree too. Reliance guys, browse the net using your own connection
(if it works long enough to read this page that is) and find out what customers all across the country think about your service. Utter disregard for customer complaints about poor service will do you in when the time comes, do not be so arrogant just because you guys are so big, even an elephant can fall into a hole dug by termites, it would do you good to not forget that fact.

Another unhappy customer who has said goodbye to Reliance and is happier for it

@Shanar,
Shanar We are in no way affiliated with Reliance or its products. It is your responsibility to check with the local reliance office about your status.
If you think there is a delay in process of your card, then you can email their nodal officer about the problem. He will get it rectified as soon as possible.

Hey Utkarsh ,
As I mentioned in the earlier comment itself, EVDO’s typically provide same bandwidth to many users simultaneously, If users in your area have increased , the speeds might get slow. Try one thing use the USB cable provided with the Reliance Net Connect device to get maximum signals and then use it.
Or try at different time.
If at different time i.e. off peak time i.e. Night after11 pm, or in the morning before 8 am. Are you able to get the full speeds, if the answer is yes then make an official complaint to Reliance regarding the speed at the particular times. and if your answer is no then make a complaint regarding the device not working properly.

Hey Utkarsh,
I am really sorry to hear that there is no network in your area. I think if there is no network in your area, there is nothing they can do. But you can do one thing, if prior to purchase of the device they claimed that you will be given network in your area then you can file the case on the behalf of that (It should be in writing or Written), otherwise best option is to dump the device and see other options.
Wait for some time and 3G Services are coming. In 3G services , you will get speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps on your current mobile phones(3G Enabled). or if you are in an area served by BSNL , then go for BSNL EVDO providing speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps with unlimited data transfer.

filing a case would be very very leanthy and time consuming process, BSNL said there is no coverage in my area.
Can u tell me by when 3G services will be coming???

@utkarsh agrawal,
Utkarsh right now only 2 providers i.e. BSNL and MTNL are provinding 3G services in India and other major players like Airtel , Vodafone and Idea are bidding on 3G Spectrum which has been released by Department of Defence.
This bidding will go on till Mid of this year and may be by end of this year , or early next year you could see 3G services.
On the other hand if you prefer , you can always go on with Wired broadband from different providers.
Wired connections are still better than wireless connections.

Hey Perry,
Tata with Photon + and BSNL with EVDO are providing speeds upto 3.1Mbps which is great. Typically EVDO speed depends upon the number of users under that particular tower, so if there are 1000 users then bandwidth is going to be shared with all of them therefore the speeds will be down. Tata Photon + is not available in all cities , BSNL EVDO if present can be a good option as there are no caps on data transfer which are present in all other devices.
As far as MTS is concerned , I can say one thing for sure they have new technologies and they will be delivering as promised but then again they also have data Cap in bandwidth. So think wisely and choose well.

Reliance Netconnect Broadband service sucks big time!!!!!
I have been using reliance netconnect since last 3 months and I am regretting it big time.
I upgraded from netconnect 1X to broadband hoping for the better speed and it does offer a good resonable speed at times but every now and then it’s speed falls below 10 kbps. Imagine that, the google home page takes around 1 minutes to load.
I can understad that 3.1 mbps speed is not feasible at all times but guys 256 kbps is a default requirement.
Maybe the service is good in some areas for anyone considering this service in Govindpuri, Kalkaji, New delhi. IT IS A STRICT NO NO….
BETTER BE WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
